I searched for this error in forum...
changed authentication mode to Forms in webconfig but it failed
authentication mode None also did not work out.
Please tell me the required changes to be made.

I think it is a problem in web.config... check the authorization's section on web.config...
it is possible that there is something
<system.web>
<authorization>
...
<deny users=* />
</authorization>
</system.web>
